Company History

In 1946, a lifelong Stamford resident with ambition and a strong motivation for success opted to leave his former employer, Paul Bacco and Sons, and develop a business of his own. By 1952, Marcello "Happy" Rondano employed three laborers and incorporated M. Rondano, Inc. A man of honesty and loyalty, Happy preached employee dedication and customer satisfaction. His excellent work ethics, coupled along with as his will to help others, enabled him to expand into a company which currently employs fifty.

Life long ties to Stamford have given the hard-working Rondano family a remarkable perspective about the land and area. Marcello Rondano watched the town develop. After working in construction for over fifty years, he had the distinction of watching “Happy” Hill Road named after him. Respect for places where they fished and played while growing up has resulted in the company paying careful attention to the environment, disturbing it as little as possible with each new endeavor.
